Where analytical depth meets executive judgement.
Four capability areas. Each is described by what I actually do in it, the settings where I have done it, and what changed as a result. If you already know which question you are weighing, the three engagement formats are at the foot of the page.
AI strategy and training
Where AI belongs in an operating model, and whether the people using it can tell good output from bad. I work with executives and boards on the decision itself — which problems AI should be pointed at, what the organisation has to be ready for, how to evaluate models, vendors and outputs before anyone commits capital or trusts a result — and then build the capability to act on it: structured programmes that take people from analysts to partners through hands-on work on their own deliverables, measured at the start and at the end. The method is structured evaluation, not enthusiasm.
20+ AI products, models and data assets evaluated for a sovereign AI platform, and 8,000+ professionals trained across three continents.
Relevant experience
Global development mandate for analytics and AI across a 12,000-practitioner strategy and transactions service line, 2022 to 2024: AI strategy pillars across industries, and the architecture of an AI knowledge layer (retrieval-augmented generation, prompt-engineering standards, sector agent kits).
Seconded to the Middle East as the global expert, 2024 to present: sovereign AI strategy and product evaluation; a federal study of AI and productivity.
Agentic and multi-model workflow design: workflows in which one model reviews another’s output rather than trusting a single response.
Launched Analytics for All across a global service line: 8,000+ participants, 18,000+ learning modules completed. Authored the analytics and AI enablement plan for a valuation, modelling and economics practice: a 20-session curriculum from analysts to partners. One of EY-Parthenon’s designated AI Champions.
Train-the-trainer: completed the Unit and Ignite programmes on EY’s proprietary AI-enabled research and analytics platform in Frankfurt, then delivered sessions in Riyadh and Dubai. Sessional Lecturer in Data Analytics and Economic Modelling on the University of Sydney MBA.
Example applications and outcomes
Led the structured evaluation of AI products, language models and data assets for a sovereign AI platform; selected the flagship Arabic model; co-authored the carve-out business plan that secured board approval for multi-hundred-million-dollar capital deployment.
Architected an AI knowledge layer over a firm’s proprietary research and sector playbooks for 12,000+ practitioners, with client confidentiality and IP protection designed in.
A federal government study measuring employee productivity and the impact of AI tools, awarded as a full project in 2026.
An AI-assisted financial model review exercise built for practitioners: a three-statement model, a review prompt, and an AI-generated review covering formula accuracy, structural integrity, accounting consistency, financial logic, auditability and decision risk.
Co-built Copilot for Professionals training with a pre-training survey to baseline AI use and confidence, and adoption tracking by manager level. Bilingual executive sessions, in English and Arabic, on generative AI in deal-making for a sovereign investor’s finance division, producing model-assessment scorecards adopted in live transactions.

Decision and investment analytics
Investment cases, transactions and models where an error is measured in hundreds of millions. I validate the case, back-test the assumptions, run the sensitivities and review the model independently, so the decision rests on something firmer than the sponsor’s spreadsheet.
USD 5.6 billion investment case validated, with route-level back-testing and sensitivity across a horizon of more than twenty years.
Relevant experience
Transaction analytics for private equity and lenders, EY Australia: buy-side, bolt-on and refinancing.
Investment-case validation for airlines, mining and energy.
Independent model assurance: methodology review, calculation testing, assumption challenge.
Commercial modelling across resources and energy: pricing and sales optimisation, forward-curve review, and budget variance analysis at portfolio scale.
Example applications and outcomes
Validated Qantas’s USD 5.6 billion Project Sunrise investment case: route-level revenue back-testing and sensitivity across fuel, exchange rates and demand.
Decision analytics for a USD 612 million private equity acquisition, a bolt-on and a subsequent USD 1.46 billion refinancing: customer quality, concentration, churn and revenue growth from reconciled portfolio data.
Independent review of flight-credit exposure methodology for Virgin Australia, releasing about USD 110 million of collateral.

Economic and evaluation frameworks
Does the programme work, and how would we know? I build the frameworks that answer that question: econometric forecasts, socio-economic impact assessments, benefits-realisation systems and results frameworks for governments and infrastructure investments, with indicators that survive contact with the data.
1,100+ indicators from 120+ sources in an economic intelligence platform for Dubai Government, with automated reporting.
Relevant experience
Economic advisory across federal and state government, infrastructure, aviation and climate finance, EY Australia, with EY UK and EY US teams.
Impact assessment and economic intelligence for government clients, delivered on secondment as the global expert.
Doctoral-level econometrics: panel analysis, historical-simulation Value at Risk, survey design and structural modelling.
Long-range demand and risk forecasting for transport, housing, education and insurance portfolios across Australian jurisdictions.
Example applications and outcomes
Economic baselines and CGE scenario modelling for the AUD 8.4 billion Inland Rail programme: gross regional product, jobs and industry output along the corridor.
An economic intelligence platform for Dubai Government: eleven data models, more than 1,100 indicators from more than 120 sources, automated reporting and real-time dashboards.
Socio-economic impact assessment of two national digital platforms for the Saudi Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing, with outcome indicators aligned to national strategy.

Healthcare analytics
Patient flow, capacity and footprint, and whether the transformation delivered. I led health analytics for Oceania at EY, working alongside clinicians and executives across Australian hospital systems to turn emergency, inpatient and referral data into decisions that changed how care was delivered.
Twelve-hour emergency stays halved at one health service, and the evidence base for AUD 52.9 million in funding.
Relevant experience
Health analytics lead for Oceania, EY Strategy and Transactions, 2019 to 2022.
Clinical service redesign, benefits realisation and hospital footprint modelling across Queensland, Northern Territory, ACT and Victorian health services, including specialty-level bed and footprint modelling for three tertiary hospitals.
Data governance and centralised health data hub design for a state health system, covering 248,000 patient visits and a 500,000-patient vulnerable-cohort database.
Example applications and outcomes
Whole-of-hospital patient flow redesign for Queensland Health: patients spending twelve hours or more in emergency down by more than half; emergency cubicles occupied by admitted patients down 42 per cent; admission NEAT from 32 to 39 per cent.
A benefits-realisation framework and analytics tool for Hospital in the Home across five Queensland health services: standardised measures of effectiveness, equity, safety and satisfaction; six bed-days saved per day; equity of access measured rather than assumed.
Data analytics and governance lead on NT Health’s AUD 259 million Caring Together transformation: emergency wait times reduced despite a seven per cent rise in presentations.

Depth
I still build the models.
Python, R, SQL, Alteryx and STATA; Power BI and Tableau; Databricks and Azure AI. Econometrics, time-series forecasting, simulation, optimisation, geospatial and discrete choice analysis. Retrieval-augmented generation and multi-model evaluation. The advice is better because the analysis is mine.
How we might work together
Diagnostic
A bounded piece of work, typically two to three weeks, that answers one question with evidence. Where does AI belong in this operating model. Is this investment case sound. Can this model be trusted. Is this programme delivering. You receive a written assessment, the analysis behind it, and a recommendation you can act on.
Discuss a diagnostic
Business-case sprint
Four to six weeks to build an investment-grade case for an AI or analytics initiative: assumptions book, value drivers, ROI ranges under sensitivity, adoption curve, pilot design, decision rights and a risk register. Built to survive a board, an investment committee or an audit.
Discuss a business case
Capability programme
Enablement for professional teams, from a single executive session to a multi-session curriculum. Hands-on work on your own deliverables, exercises such as AI-assisted model review, train-the-trainer so the capability stays, and a measure before and after so you know whether it worked.
